Lunchables – the art of catered lunches
Posted April 13, 2011
Many of our clients are professionals who have the recurring need of treating their clients, staff or associates to a lunch. Sometimes it’s on their property. Sometimes they want a change of scenery and will use another venue. Regardless, a lunch is usually a very important meal to a business person. Having the food and service be top notch is key.
So, what goes into a catered lunch? That depends on who you are serving. Is this to treat your staff? Then, it might be more informal. Is it a client that you need to keep impressing? Then a bigger and heavier meal might be in order. If it is informal, then something that is a little more self-served might be what you need. If you go formal, then you will probably want something that is staffed and served. Think through your lunch and why you are having it. If business is at hand that needs to be addressed, you will probably want to have a lunch that has minimal work on your end – i.e. no self served items.
Business and food go together. It’s an equalizing act. Everyone has to eat and we all want to get business done. So, put some thought into your lunches. Let them act as the foundation to the relationships that you are building. Its a great way to start, or keep, your business solid.
Happy lunching!
